Hoorah! Lilou Mace has just sent me one of the first copies of I Lost My Job and I Liked It, which I helped her write. It looks fabulous! It’s on Amazon.com, and Amazon.co.uk, and you can order copies in the UK by calling 0208 144 9548.
Here are some YouTube videos documenting the latest developments in the saga:

Congratulations from Boris Johnson, Mayor of London (Lilou didn’t expect him to make off with a copy!)
You can read more about the book here and here is the official website!

Myself in Empires on St. Mary's Street, Edinburgh, celebrating the arrival of Lilou Mace's "I Lost My Job and I Liked it".
Photo taken on my mobile phone by Vroni Holzmann. Empires is my favourite Edinburgh restaurant. It reminds me of Lilou Mace’s description of The Fitness Cafe (on pages 138 and 139 of I Lost My Job and I Liked It):
“There is such a feeling of abundance that resides in it… so full of life, and the food was so good and fresh, and there were so many marvellous details in the decor. You can tell that the people who run it love it.
[...]
“There’s so much to be said for living your dream like that. It’s so attractive to see people who are really on purpose. They are so creative and contagiously inspiring. They go out of their way to serve you well and make you feel welcome. The experience is awesome – you can feel the love there. That was really great, and it makes me think again that in the competitive marketplace we have today, if we don’t do something that we love it’s unlikely that we will be good enough. I think that only people who love what they’re doing will succeed: people who take things beyond the merely ‘acceptable’, and are truly creative and resourceful.”
This is a perfect description of Empires!
Best wishes

Sadly, job loss is affecting so many now. I am one of those that lost a job I loved for 18 years in Dec 2008 due to the bad economy. Fortunately, I was able to turn my initial fear and anxiety into joy and opportunity by following a simple plan …….even included one miracle! So inspired, I also wrote a book, The Joy of Job Loss, for those who have lost their job, know someone who has lost their job, or for those who simply fear losing their current job. Details on author website:

My hope is that my job loss experience, plan, and positive results covered in my book will have as much value to others as it did for me. I hope you will read and share with others. Wishing all those impacted by job loss only the very best moving forward.

Thanks, Linda! The more help and advice for those who have lost their jobs the better. Good luck with your book.
Best wishes
