Theresa McDermott, who was on one of the ships attempting to aid the recent blockade of Gaza, speaks at a rally in Edinburgh on 5 June 2010. I participated, along with thousands of other people protesting Israel’s actions.
This has no direct relevance to my writing, but I feel compelled to highlight two articles in the Sunday Herald.
The first is an interview with Theresa McDermott, someone I have had the privilege of meeting on several occasions. It’s an eyewitness account of what happened when the Israelis attacked the Gaza aid flotilla.
The second is an account of the Israeli psyche by a native of that country (and former Zionist).
