I chanced on these soothing YouTube videos by Danish YouTube sensation TheOneLilium. The problem is they are so darned effective I tend to fall asleep with my computer on – not good for my electricity consumption! I have transferred the audio from some to an MP3 player which is one solution to this problem. (NB Scroll to below the videos for some other advice!)
On the subject of healthy sleep, a friend recently recommended inclining one’s bed. She suffers from varicose veins and found this on the internet. She tried it and found she woke up much more alert and rested than she had previously. A few days ago I bundled some old books together and put them under the legs at the head of my bed. I can’t be certain yet, but I think I might be benefiting. Could this be a placebo effect? Would be interested to hear other people’s experiences.
